Overcladding
Overcladding of a roof is a cost effective way to refurbishment an existing asbestos or steel roof. The installation process involves fixing new sheets of either metal or plastic over the existing roof area which also has the advantage of additional insulation being installed between the existing and new overclad roof.
This overclad process removes the cost of expensive asbestos disposal to licensed landfills, whilst ensuring the roof meets all licencing regulations.
On the majority of projects the existing roof lights are replaced with new to maximise the amount of daylight within the building.
The additional level of insulation stops condensation as well as providing the building with a much more energy efficient roofing solution.
The new overclad system fully encapsulates the existing roof thus providing a waterproof solution without the inconvenience and cost of removing the original roof.
